Programs

We believe that the first five years of a child's life is where they learn many valuable skills that they will use throughout their life.

We provide a caring, challenging environment where we encourage your child to be themselves, to enjoy their childhood years, to learn, and to grow through the many opportunities and activities that we provide in their day. We encourage the development of good habits and attitudes, particularly a positive sense of self and an appreciation and respect for others which will make a difference throughout children’s lives.

The children’s routines (eating, toileting, sleeping, dressing) are incorporated into the programs and there is a balance between active and quiet; indoor and outdoor; individual and group; free play and directed activities for the children to participate in. Activities include music and movement, art experiences, story telling / language experiences and gross and fine motor activities.

A copy of the programs (Daily Diary)is displayed in each room. This allows parents to see what their child has been learning throughout the day and also provides parents an opportunity to comment on our programs.

Our programs are flexible, child orientated and continually encourage learning. They consist of several stages. Firstly, we make observations, develop checklists and interpret the information. We then develop individual programs, evaluate the program, observe, update the checklist, interpret, program etc. ensuring the process is continuous.

The activities and experiences we offer to our children are age appropriate and reflect the individual needs of each child.

We support the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) and we constantly strive to meet the highest quality standards and requirements.
