Now, like never before, parents realise that the first 5 years of every child’s life are the most important and that music is the greatest tool to enhance brain development.
When we listen to music, it is processed in many areas of our brain. Since early 90’s, when functional brain imaging became possible, many brain scans of musicians have shown that musical training and musical experiences physically develop parts of the left side of the brain and make an enormous impact on the development of language, reasoning, concentration, memory, self-expression, stress release and many other areas.

That’s why we are excited to introduce an award-winning, innovative educational program for children in our centre - Bonkers Beat®.

Bonkers Beat® Program was created by the 2015 ASG National Excellence in Teaching Award Winner, early childhood educator, music teacher and composer - Galina Zenin.

The Bonkers Beat® Music Program is based on the internationally recognised Kodaly and Orff methods and practice of teaching to stimulate children’s social, intellectual and emotional growth. It features catchy original songs written by Galina Zenin specifically for children from 2 to 8 years old, so they are easy and fun to learn. Each song has educational messages which can be easily incorporated into the curriculum. The program also uses songs and rhythms to encourage children to follow daily routines. Spontaneous and intentional art and craft ideas are linked to the songs and are used to support the curriculum and help children learn visually.
The Bonkers Beat Music Program was selected for the 2010 Innovation Showcase by the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development (DEECD), Victoria and has been commended by educators across the country and overseas.
All our educators will receive comprehensive training and will work consistently to introduce the Bonkers Beat Music program in all groups from 15 months to 5 years, for EVERY CHILD, EVERY DAY!
The management of our centre will cover all costs related to the Bonkers Beat resources, Professional Development workshops and training of our staff throughout the year.
This unique and exciting program will help us to achieve better outcomes for every child at our service and connect with families.
Throughout the year all parents will receive letters with ‘Songs of the Week’, which will also help continuity of learning and fun at home.
In order to extend Bonkers Beat program at home and engage siblings and parents, e
ach family will receive Educational Resources to enjoy together with children at home.

We hope that children and families will enjoy participating in the Bonkers Beat® Music Program at our centres and will also have lots of fun singing at home.
